A bald eagle was included in the High Park Christmas Bird count this year and since then I've seen one on 4 different days flying between the north end of Grenadier Pond and Lake Ontario, apparently off towards Humber Bay (I don't know where it ends up after leaving the park). It was particularly active today as I saw it fly over the pond three times. It did settle in a tree long enough for me to approach and get a shot from a distance.

About 2 or 3 weeks ago, I did see an adult Bald Eagle at Humber Bay Park East, flew high from north toward south.

I was on the High Park count, and it seems quite likely that it's the same bird. It sat high in a White Pine on Ellis Park Road long enough for everyone to get a nice look, and then flew off to the northwest towards Dacre Crescent.
I've noticed that several CBCs have recorded record or near record high counts of Bald Eagles this year so maybe this one is staying around.
