I finally found the red bellied woodpecker down at Lynde Creek with the help of some fellow birdwatchers. He came back numerous times to grab the peanuts we were feeding to the blue jays. Finally scared off by a Red Tailed Hawk.

I'm still waiting for one of those awesome Meghan shots. That bird moves very quickly.

Nice; I saw the jays on the Halls Road but not this guy and neither the Mandarin at Lynde shore.

You are not kidding when you say he is quick. I never realized untill I started shooting. I won't tell you how many times it took me to get the shots I posted :oops:
You did really good...but keep going back, you can never have enough shots of these beauty woodpeckers. He's frustrating but worth it when you get the shot you want.
