Title: Bald eagle(s) - High Park?

Looks like 2 adults are in/were seen in High Park.
anyone know anything about this?

Post by: thouc on January 15, 2014, 10:55:04 AM: I saw a Bald Eagle from Humber Bay East last weekend. It was an almost adult bird (with dirty white head) sitting on the ice further east along the lakeshore (probably pretty near High Park).

I have also seen reports of Bald Eagles from High Park/Humber Bay this winter.

this is frequent enough that we may have a winter nester in Toronto. when's the last time Toronto hosted a bald eagle?
also surprised one hasn't ever taken residency at the spit

I'm one of the zookeepers in High Park Zoo and on January 16 I spotted a bald eagle in the Zoo. Here is a picture of him! Enjoy

jeez louise....
it's weird to go to calgary and see them in 1 part of the city (not far from the airport). in toronto, though? still amazing to see one staying here.
