Just saw it posted on twitter.
Looks like 2 adults are in/were seen in High Park.
anyone know anything about this?

I saw a Bald Eagle from Humber Bay East last weekend. It was an almost adult bird (with dirty white head) sitting on the ice further east along the lakeshore (probably pretty near High Park).
I have also seen reports of Bald Eagles from High Park/Humber Bay this winter.

this is frequent enough that we may have a winter nester in Toronto. when's the last time Toronto hosted a bald eagle?
also surprised one hasn't ever taken residency at the spit

Apparently one bald eagle has been seen numerous times in the High Park Zoo area. The people who work at the zoo have reported seeing it first thing in the morning.

We had a quick sighting of a bald eagle low over the High Park Zoo at about 2:30 this afternoon and are please that others have seen (and confirmed) our ID.

[attachment=0:3g50ydkx]bald eagle1.jpg[/attachment:3g50ydkx]I had a member of your blog ask me about a bald eagle in High Park and the picture I took of it. I'm one of the zookeepers in High Park Zoo and on January 16 I spotted a bald eagle in the Zoo. Here is a picture of him! Enjoy
