Title: Goshawks Carleton Park Brampton
Post by: cairnstone on January 17, 2014, 06:11:46 PM
There are currently 3 Northern Goshawks in Carleton Park, Brampton. I assume they are immature siblings. One is heavily streaked underneath, another is less streaked underneath and the third I saw only in silhouette. I saw all 3 at once, so I know there are 3. They have been around for at least 3 days. I initially thought it was only one bird, but one bird seemed to be in two places at one time. They were calling loudly to one another tonight, distinctive goshawk voice. They show no interest in the White-throated Sparrows, Juncos or Cardinals, but they attack doves with ferocity. I'll post pics in the photo section.

I might be up that way tomorrow. Where in Brampton is Carleton Park?

Thanks.
