Title: Varied Thrush, Spotted Towhee, Rough-legged Hawk, Snowy Owl
Post by: thouc on February 09, 2014, 02:21:02 PM
Took a trip to Guelph Lake Conservation area today and got to view the Varied Thrush (a lifer), briefly when I just arrived and a better view about 20 min later when it came back for more crabapples. Also in that area (on Jones Rd just east of the lake) i spotted a Rough-legged Hawk.

On the way back I stopped at the Spotted Towhee location in Glen Williams (Georgetown), where the bird arrived after 30 min wait.

Finally, on Old School Rd, just east of Torbram Rd in Caledon there was a Snowy Owl on a hay roll on the north side of the road.
