Title: Turkey Vulture
Post by: Flyingbass on February 10, 2014, 08:57:42 PM
I was grabbing a coffee down by the waterfront in liberty village when I saw a Turkey Vulture.  At first I thought it was  a red tailed hawk, I had seen one a couple of blocks away.   The Turkey Vulture flew right over my head, it had the black front to the wings and the "quiver" flight pattern.  It also showed a V shape from the side.   Didn't expect to see one in Feb though, am I crazy or do they sometimes over winter in T.O?

I don't know enough about TV migration to answer your question, but you may find some interest in this ebird map. The red markers indicate TV sightings since January. -kris
