Title: Red Heads
Post by: Andygod on February 28, 2014, 08:22:46 AM
I'm not sure how common these are, but I think this is the first time I have seen any of these.  I saw this one in Port Credit yesterday and he was a long way off.  Way to cold to hang around or go back and get my tripod.

Gorgeous birds and very nice pics!  They're not the most common ducks I have seen but neither are they rare.  More common than a Canvasback, but less common than a Greater Scaup.

I have seen a few of these now, I got this picture down at the Whitby harbour this afternoon.

I second that. Interestingly I saw my first Redhead in Las Vegas, Nevada. This winter's frozen lakes brought many them very close to shore for some great pictures.
