Title: Snowy Owl in Burlington - Appleby Line & Dundas
Post by: sakimano on March 10, 2014, 02:47:47 PM
Pretty neat location for this guy.  Basically there's a little plot of land right in the middle of a residential area.  For whatever reason, it is used to make hay.  About 100 yards by 100 yards.   Anyway, this snowy owl (perhaps a pair as another was sighted but I only saw one) has taken up residence there for the winter.  Pretty incredible.

I've seen him 4 times, on the hay bails, on the roof of houses surrounding the lot, and on the telephone poles along Appleby.
