Despite the snow storm, I come home from work to find a Common Grackle at our bird feeders. First of the season! Spring is around the corner. :D

Very interesting because I thought I saw a grackle in the shrubbery behind my feeder but my locals will have to wait because the snow drifts beside the house made it impossible for me to reach the back yard, and I did have three robins braving the storm to enjoy the berry buffet in my curbside cherry tree. Btw Rob, have you heard from Belle?

There are 3 Grackles and a Red-winged Blackbird at my feeders this morning. Those guys who were singing proudly two days ago must be wondering what they're doing here now!

I haven't heard much about Belle the last while there Howie. I will ask again. All I know is she's loved so much by her family and she's Queen of the house, over the 2 English Budgies that are twice her size.

Not too surprising since she was Queen of the backyard while she was here! Any lingering snowies to report?
