Nice shot!
That's a more mature bird than any I've seen this winter.

Congratulations, I thought this winter was going to be the year I finally got a good picture of a Snowy Owl, but no such luck. Yours is fantastic.

Great shot Meghan.

Lovely shot. I wait and shiver and then as I take my eyes off, the bird takes off. I end up getting her behind. :(

Great shot Meghan.
dinu - tell me about it. LOL

This is absolutely stunning, when I was over at Sam's last week she just sat there, did nothing, hiding from the wind behind an electrical box was our guess.
good job Meghan!

Thanks everyone, I appreciate all your comments.
Believe me Dinu and Bobo...I took a lot of butt shots this year as well. Dinu you got some great shots this year of these guys so it wasn't all just butt shots.
But you do have to wait and shiver and wait some more. Then go back and do it all again :D
It took me all winter to get this shot, these birds really like to hunker down and wait out the winds.
Lots of them still around so there is still a good chance of getting pictures.
At least there shouldn't be too much shivering going on any more.
