Title: Swimming Groundhog
Post by: Trillian Flummox on March 31, 2014, 02:56:48 PM
At the end of a quick stop at Ashbridges Bay today, I noticed a groundhog running out to the end of one of the docks. I'm not sure what his mission was, but he seemed quite intent on getting in the water. I missed his big jump but watched him swim around for a bit before he tried climbing up on the barrels beneath the docks. Eventually I lost sight of him when he swam to the other side of the docks. A swimming groundhog was a new one for me - had to Google it when I got home and yes they are supposedly good swimmers (though he didn't look too happy about it to me). And no it was definitely not a beaver, mink, muskrat or otter.   -kris  :D
