Title: Thornbury/Meaford Area
Post by: Michael A on December 27, 2007, 08:06:31 PM
Hello - any suggestions for the Meaford area?  Any prime suggestions between Thornbury to Owen Sound including the Beaver Valley would be great.

Thanks!
Mike

Hi Mike,

Here are a couple of links that may have some information.  You could also try Kimberly which is the other end of Beaver Valley from Thornbury and the home of Old Baldy (don't think it is winter accessible though). Or go to Eugenia and see Eugenia Falls, not too far up the road from Kimberly. Beautiful Joe Park in Meaford is a nice little place to walk though and home to chickadees. Or there is Inglis Falls and Harrison Park in Owen Sound. You will definitely have to check out road conditions, having had to head back to Meaford from Owen Sound and vice versa many times over the years but with the newly widened Hwy 26 who knows....Good birding!
