Title: Tree Swallows and horned larks at Downsview Park
Post by: Flyingbass on April 09, 2014, 11:56:23 PM
Hello,

Today I saw tree swallows for the first time this year!  Tons of killdeer, RWBB and RTH.  Also saw a Horned Lark, a blue heron and the kestrel.   Finally  I saw 3 Northern Mockingbirds in one stretch of the circuit path and I talked to someone who said they saw a Gray Catbird, has anyone seen a catbird?

Nice sightings.  I saw a couple of Larks as well the last time I was there on Sunday.  I didn't see a catbird though.  But I think I may have seen American Pipits.  They are starting to move through now so it's not totally out of the question.

I'm heading back on the weekend to see what's going on.  We'll probably stat seeing some Kinglets move through.
