I walked down to the stormwater treatment area at Earl Bales this morning. At the pond, I saw 4 Chimney Swifts and 1 Spotted Sandpiper. Other birds of note were: 1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, 1 Barn Swallow and 2 Eastern Phoebes.
Earl Bales Park is located at Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue. To access the pond, enter at Don River Rd. It is just east of Bathurst, off Sheppard. Park in the lot under the bridge. Walk south to the pond.
