This was spotted by many birders at the Wet Woods.
Instead of black markings, though, it is grey.
Anyways, someone chime in if it's misidentified.

Nice golden wing.....I have been looking for one of these...but only seems to be 1-2 coming thru at a time

Good shot and great find. We didn't get that one earlier in the morning there in the woods. We left just before 10:00AM.

Can you describe roughly where the bird was seen? Example, closer to the parking lot entrance or the west end of the wet woods nearer the road to the marina. I know birds fly but any tip would help as I have limited mobility. Thanks.

really?
that's when i was there. surprised we didn't see each other.
it was on the east side of the wooded area right on the path. near the 20 birders gathered around :)
