I found this Australian Swan at the Garden Hill pond this morning. I'm wondering if it's an escapee.
Also wondering if anyone else has run into one of these.

Nice pics even if it is an escapee. Where is this pond?

Thanks for your reply, this pond is located north of Newcastle. From the 401 take the 35/115 north to County road 9 (if you went west here, it would become Taunton Road)and head east. Follow this road past the Oshawa ski club, past Kendal, and you will find the pond on the north side of the road in Garden Hill. There are two ways to get a good view, providing it's still there. You can park at the entrance of the parking lot and follow the trail heading north, or turn left just past the bridge and drive north. You can see the pond quite well from this side road.
Good luck:)

The swan was there again today. Terrible lighting for photos tho.

There was a black swan at Humber bay west park 4 or 5 years ago, I wonder if it could be the same swan.
