Excellent pics! I saw one today too but didn't do as well as you with the crappy light.

Very nice with the yellow and blue bird in one shot. I like combo shots like that.  Whenever I go out I try to take interesting combo shots.  My dream would be to get an Indigo Bunting and Scarlet Tanager in one shot.  I'm sure it's been done.

Very Nice!  I saw a couple at Beare Wetlands today but lighting was poor.

Wow - it's amazing how blue they can be in the sun. Just gorgeous.

Hey Elias - Yesterday morning there were 5 tanagers and 7 buntings at Ashbridges, sometimes they were in the same tree! Of course trying to get them into the same shot would be a whole other challenge. This was the area just south of the first parking lot (not the marina lot) and west of the restaurant, where there are lots of mature deciduous trees. Both species seemed to prefer the maples that were just coming into leaf. Lots of warblers and vireos in that area too.

Hah! Good one Richard! Actually, she is using my old gear, a D5000 with 70-300VR.
