Title: See hundreds of swifts Tuesday at Swift Night Out
Post by: Rebecca TO Swift on May 16, 2014, 01:01:06 PM
Swift Night Out in Toronto will be this Tuesday, 8-9:30 pm at Moss Park (next to 130 Queen Street East, corner of Jarvis). Last year we watched hundreds of chimney swifts coming home to roost - a truly impressive sight. Please join us!

This is tomorrow! Chimney swifts are fascinating birds that use large, brick chimneys to nest and roost. The species is threatened and we are lucky to have a large active roost in the heart of the city. Please come out, enjoy the spectacle as hundreds arrive to roost, and learn how you can help identify and report swift nesting habitat. Moss Park next to 130 Queen Street East, Tuesday, May 20th, 8-9:30 pm. Meet by the tennis courts.
