Title: Acadian Flycatcher - ABB (but no chat)
Post by: dclark32 on May 16, 2014, 01:59:41 PM
A good enough bird to warrant its own post, separate from the current ABB thread.  Was intrigued about an hour ago by a very green-backed empid near the area where the Chat was frequenting, in the extreme west corner.  One soft but distinct "peet-sah" sealed the ID.  Be aware that there is also, at least, a Least/Yellow-bellied Flycatcher (couldn't make my mind up on the call) and a Wood-Pewee in the immediate area.

Other highlights:

Ruby-throated Hummingbird - my FOY, though I've gathered that one has been around for a couple days.
Philadelphia Vireo (1) - different individual than I reported a couple days ago, based on molt wear
Indigo Bunting (1 female)
Canada Warbler (1)
Cliff Swallow (1) - amongst a large mixed flock made up primarily of Barns
Great Egret (1) - at Woodbine Park
Black-crowned Night Heron (1) - also at Woodbine
