Today I went to Humber Bay, mostly on the western side. I saw quite a few ducks/waterfowl species today including 3 American Coots, red heads, all three mergansers, 2 blue winged teals, buffleheads, northern shovelers, trumpeter swans, mute swans, gadwalls, a few american widgeons, and some of the other more common ones. I was on the lookout for the Harlequin Ducks but, unfortunately, didn't see any today.

the next time you go, try the eastern side - near the beaver dam (the water directly across from the butterfly habitat). that area is usually teeming with ducks, especially shovelers :)
