Title: Baltimore Oriole - First Year Male?
Post by: Dinusaur on May 27, 2014, 09:20:26 PM
Help please. Couldn't find anything similar looking on web for a first year male.

That's definitely a tanager...maybe a yellow form of the Scarlet Tanager?  I'm curious to see what the others say.

It looks like an orange variant to me. Gotta love the scarlet tanager.

Thank you both for chipping in. The bright yellow-orange color fooled me; I forgot to look at its overall shape to see the difference between a Tanager and an Oriole. By the way the bird was in the neighborhood of a more deeper orange looking Tanager. Both were taken on the 18th of May at Lynde Shore.
