Title: Carden Dragonflies
Post by: paul_reeves on May 30, 2014, 06:42:42 AM
I was up in Carden on Thursday and while waiting on Prospect Road for a Great Egret to come closer (it didn't), I took the opportunity to photograph my first Dragonflies of the year. I have tentatively identified them but since I only started paying attention to Dragonflies last summer, I would like some expert help please.

Male Dot-tailed Whiteface

Immature Male Belted Whiteface

Thanks.

Nice shots!  The Whitefaces can be tough, but I think you have them both corrrect.
