Title: RT Hawk - Western Beaches

Not exactly a rare bird, but there's a Red-tailed Hawk hanging around Toronto's western beaches.  I've seen it (them?) 5 or 6 times in the last two weeks on my morning commute along the Gardiner, anywhere from Parklawn to Jameson, usually south of the Gardiner.

Agree. The bird is regularly hunting the fields behind the food terminal and Sobeys. In the evening it roosts in a tree near the Christie factory. We originally thought it was an owl, but closer inspection revealed a Red-tailed Hawk.

I have also seen it above the fields that boarder Woodford Creek and the hydro fields.

There was also what sounded like a black-crowned night heron earlier this week at around 730 in the evening.

There is another redtail that I see almost every time I am down there near Broadview (Saultier) and Queen... a juvenile.. and I've seen it sitting in a tree close to the ground more than once.

One RTH is hunting on regular basis around Queen Victoria Elementary School on Close ave. I can see him almost every day. There is another one around King and Roncesvalles. This one hunts along Lakeshore from Jameson to Humber River. I've seen them at the same time so there are two. High Park has at least two of them but i don't know if they are the same birds.
