On Saturday night ,at South Bay, outside of Picton I was lucky to be I the company of 4 very good birders who help identify the call of Chuck's will widow, a whip poor will and observe a common nighthawk fly over, all in the space of 15 minutes. Also identified was the call of a field sparrow and a towhee. On Sunday about 12 km north of there on Smith's Bay I spotted a imm. Bald Eagle fly by.
