Title: Humber Bay Grebes: The Next Generation.
Post by: paul_reeves on August 02, 2014, 09:22:50 AM
These prolific parents and their offspring have provided so many opportunities I am finding it hard to edit the shots down to a reasonable number. These shots are from July 15th, 22nd, 31st, and August 1st.

Yep, it is hard not to post them all. They are cute and there's always a slight difference from one to the other. A great series. This is the second batch of next generation, right?

Thanks Dinusaur.

I guess you're right. The first four, which I posted as Humber Bay Teenagers a while ago, would have been the first batch and these youngsters are the second batch. And as of yesterday (August 1st), there are three more eggs on the nest so if they hatch they will be the third batch.

One of the three eggs was left from the second batch, which is not hatched, I guess it's failed. For the other 2 eggs, I saw the first one on July 28, and the second on July 30. For your reference.
