I read an article in a local magazine about a second raven kill -- I hadn't heard about the first. Anyway, the township of West Grey has approved payment to a local farmer for a 300 lb calf killed by a raven. Has anyone else heard of ravens killing livestock ?

Ravens only scavenge larger prey and only kill small rodents and similar. So they were probably eating someone else's kill.

That's what I understood so I thought I'd ask if anyone knew of other records of ravens killing livestock....frankly...pretty stupid calf if was killed by an oversized crow...
