Title: Great Horned Owl
Post by: Axeman on September 17, 2014, 12:19:36 AM
Tonight, while I stood on my deck I heard a Great Horned Owl hoot -- 3 clear hoots x 2...it was somewhere in the cedar bush not far from where I was standing...it was the first time I heard one call...unmistakable...I knew right away what it was...still checked on google....thrilling...can't wait for winter...this is the year I spot a snowy.

Sorry...I was just so thrilled I had to share....it happened around 11 pm.

Way cool!

I saw a Great Horned roosting in a tree, less than 1 km from our house recently.  All the Skunks in our 'hood, I am surprised he hasn't found his way here.

Good luck on the Snowy, but I should give ya heck for saying the "winter" word already.  LoL!   :P

Only 30 more shopping days until it snows.
