Took a nice pic of an American Golden Plover. I took the liberty of enhancing its colours a bit, but the yellow was very obvious even in person:

Nice find, I only got Black-bellieds when I was there Saturday.

Nice; I visited three times and didn't see these guys once.

I went yesterday morning looking for the Western Sandpiper so I didn't spend too much time on this guy...but very beautiful bird. Certainly the most eye-catching bird I saw that morning.

Lovely photo. I hoped to see a golden plover in Downsview park today - no luck. It would have been nice as the park is only 15 mins from where I live than 2 hours to Presquille.

During migration it is hard to predict where exactly you'll see them. But Downsview would be somewhat unlikely even at the best of times ...I'm quite surprised one was seen there. There are often Golden Plovers on the Beeton Sod Farms in Simcoe Region...check ebird for recent sightings. It's closer than Pres'quille.
