I got this dragonfly in Algonquin on September 27th. Searching my Dragonfly book I can narrow it down to a few species of Darner but other than that I haven't got a clue.

With those thin thoracic stripes it can only be a Shadow Darner

Yes....this would be a Shadow Darner. I took similar shots recently up in Bracebridge, but yours is much clearer. I always had him from behind, he never gave me another angle to shoot.
