Very quiet in the Brickworks this afternoon but the fall colours are wonderful. The highlight was an Orange-crowned warbler in the shrubs near the middle pond. Both kinglets, the 3 'resident' Red-tailed hawks soaring and calling high off the N bank, a large flock of goldfinch and various jays making themselves heard. I have seen big flocks of Eastern bluebirds in there on or close to October 16 for the past few years but none were there today. Still a few Green Darners flying around.
The parking patrol is relentless so beware. If you time it right you can miss most of the off-leash dogs!
