Gray Jays should be fairly easy to find anytime in the winter. The other one's you mention are a bit more erratic, some years there are lots, other years  they are mostly absent. There have only been few reports so far this year, so they could be difficult to find. Spruce Grouse, Ruffed Grouse, Black-backed Woodpecker and Boreal Chickadee should all be present, but you would need to hit the right locations and spend more time/have luck to find them.

Check the weekly Ontbirds report for the latest observations.
