Title: Mississauga Snowies etc.
Post by: Reuven_M on December 07, 2014, 03:14:30 PM
Did a quick check of a few spots in Mississauga this morning. Numbers of ducks and gulls were shockingly low, but eventually we found a large gathering just west of Lakefront Promenade Park. Siskins all over today.

Lakeside Park:
2 Snowy Owls, 1 on each of the 2 piers! Very distant of course.
3 Song Sparrow
1 Purple Finch

J.C. Saddington Park:
2 Horned Grebe
1 Yellow-rumped Warbler

Lakefront Promenade:
1 Snowy Owl scoped on the huge pier to the east of the park. Again extremely distant.
More notable ducks included 1 Ring-necked, 1 Hooded Merganser, 1 Common Merganser
Among many Herring and Ring-billed were 2 Iceland and 1 Great Black-backed Gull
