Had a special winter treat. I know that Robins over-winter in Toronto and even have had 1 or 2 visit our heated bird baths but earlier today we had a convention of 10 Robins bathing and drinking their fill. We are in the Burnhamthorpe & East Mall area.

My impression is that there aren't a lot of Robins around this winter. One notable exception is my front yard. They are coming to eat the berries from my Cork tree in numbers I've never seen before. I counted 20 one day last week! I've had Waxwings a few times this winter too, but the usual customers are Starlings.
