Shot in the spring in S. Carolina in wooded marsh area.
Cannot quite put a name to it...
Appreciate your help

Hermit Thrush.

Thanks so much for your help

The lack of eye-ring doesn't fit with a typical Hermit Thrush. I would consider Gray-cheeked/Bicknell's Thrush. Some Newfoundland Gray-cheeked can be more warmer coloured. Bicknell's should have more yellow on the lower mandible of bill and is very rare.
What date did you see the bird?

Interesting,
Shot on March 19th in Hilton Head SC area.

Then Rotarran is correct with Hermit Thrush. Grey-cheekd Thrush wouldn't arrive until last days of April or May when most Hermit Thrushes are gone from the area.
