Spotted this adult at dusk today just north of the 401 between Mavis and Creditview Rd. Not a great pic but proof enough. It flew into a small woodlot off of Old Derry so should still be there in the morning.

Cool, not an expected place to see one.
-
Neat to see one in a Urban area.
-
Not to be snobby but I like that we have a full adult here. Often youngsters do the unusual stuff :D

I live just south of the 401 at 2nd Line West, so it's a quick km or so the that area. Actually I spend a fair bit of time hiking on the CVC trails there.
I went at daybreak to try to locate this beauty, but all I found were 4 RTH roosting in the trees on the south side of Old Derry Road south of the CVC entrance.
Maybe I'll try again tomorrow morning.
happy birding, bob

Always thrilling to see a Bald Eagle, my "Spirit Animal"! 8)
"anatum", Bob and others ... keep your eyes open in the trees at the farm field at Old Creditview Rd./Old Derry Rd. I've also sighted a Bald Eagle at Argentia Rd./Campobello Rd. walking around on the ground by the Icynene company! Haven't sighted any recently so it's great to know that there's one around - usually see an adult Bald Eagle flying above Lake Aquitaine heading SW about 5-6x per year.
