Very neat... how long did it take to ID that?

Actually, I admit I could well be wrong here. I went by what appears to be a dark ring around the beak. However I realize, after looking at it a little closer, the beak is massive, much too big for a Ring-billed. More like a Great Black-backed, except the proportions do not look right. It looks like the beak came from another bird. Weird.

You might have to take a blood sample for a positive ID if it's a hybrid albino.
I noticed on Jean Iron's NFLD trip that she had quite a few unidentifiable hybrids also.

Its most likely a Glaucous Gull.-1st or 2nd year. 1st year has a dark eye, 2nd year has a pale eye.
