Title: Varied Thrush - Midtown
Post by: crawshaw on February 08, 2015, 01:29:05 PM
We have a Varied Thrush hanging around our, and neighbouring, backyards today (Sunday 8th) at St Clair West and Oakwood. He is quite spooky but I managed to get a couple of (bad) pictures. Also had a Cooper's hawk in the yard one week ago but it came to a sad end by hitting the neighbour's window when it took off in a hurry.

Wow, that's a good backyard bird! I haven't heard of any reports in Toronto this winter.

Wow. Awesome bird! That street borders my school! I'm surprised I haven't seen it fly by the windows during class

Henrique

We are across from the school. It is keeping safely away in this weather!

With the recent report of the Varied Thrush near Woodstock, I was reminded of your bird. Have there been any more appearances in your neighbourhood?
