I was in high park on saturday afternoon taking a few photos of the great horned owl when i found a baby great horned owl that had fallen from the nesting tree. I transported the little guy to the TWC. He is apparently doing quit well and will be raised by a surrogate mom as a combination of factors make it difficult to renest baby. I took this photo before i realized i should pick him up and keep him warm. i still can't beleive he fell from such a great height and barely had a scratch! here is a picture of dad as well (at least i beleive it is dad as the crows were buzzing the nest on the nesting tree and i am hoping that means mom is up there sitting on another baby ).
