The local (west side of Mt. Pleasant Cemetery) red-tailed hawks are working on nest-building today, continuously flying around and breaking small branches off various trees, and heading back to the nest tree (which is the same as last year, not actually within the cemetery). The blue jays are very angry, which makes it easy to notice when the hawks are active.
