Title: hi spring is here and i hear some birds nesting in my roof
Post by: candidpets on March 16, 2015, 10:00:32 PM
Also nesting on the other side of my wall unit air conditioner

I have some extra budgie and cockatiel nests I hung a budgie nest box in a tree, would birds use this you think?  no cat can get to where i put it. I dont know about squireels though.

Any idea where i should hang some nest? I also got a nest box old one but has no hangers or way to hang it, was thinking of getting it on my roof.

ANyway to get birds to use my nests? I want to put them in predator free areas. THe only predator that can get to everything is the squrrel which is not that common where i put my nest considering the dog loves how they taste and can catch one.

THoughts?

"I hung a budgie nest box in a tree" not sure if it is treated and would standup to the weather, you may need to paint it or stain it with a non-toxic coating so it won't rot out over time.
