Title: Song Sparrow?

We are new to the challenging world of sparrows. Can someone help us ID this one: song sparrow we think?

Yes I think you are correct with Song Sparrow. The heavy streaking on the breast (which sometimes includes a central dark spot but not always) and the thick malar stripe (looks like a handle-bar mustache) are helpful diagnostics here. Soon you will be hearing their beautiful song all over the province!
