Title: Iceland Gull
Post by: gary yankech on March 18, 2015, 11:55:38 PM
Finally found the Iceland Gull at the bluffs among the hundreds of Ring-bills, mallards, ....there were at least fifteen trumpeter swans being fed.

The pigeon's colour is (barred) dun. Not that common, but not albino or leucistic. It's more common in domestic pigeons as opposed to feral ones.

Nice photos Gary - that's where I also saw my first Iceland and Thayer's.

Thanks....I actually went there in part because of your previous sightings and, because it is relatively close to home. But, I do not go too much in the summer, it is not cleaned regularly, there is always garbage and dog poop everywhere. It is very embarrassing to see such a mess. A good place for winter birding, except I dislike people who feed them constantly.
