Great shots. Magnificent birds to see up close. We regularly have a female or two with ducklings here in Newmarket but the males must be the shiest ducks on the planet.

from past experience, the high park wood ducks have been habituated to humans. lots of duck feeding happens there.

Beautiful set of a beautiful pair. This morning I went to High park, saw four pairs of them in the open water on the western end of the park. Two of them are certainly used to human presence - they keep coming close to the shore . I also saw what I believe is a Hermit Thrush (my first for the season) and a Cooper's. Later in the morning the park became filled with kids and their parents - Easter egg hunt was on.
