Title: Ring-necked Ducks and more. Brampton.
Post by: cairnstone on April 04, 2015, 02:20:42 PM
At 1:15 this afternoon I watched 8 Ring-necked Ducks in the new lake at Countryside Drive and Dixie Road in Brampton. Also present were 15 Common Mergansers, 13 Hooded Mergansers, 4 Redheads and closeups of a spectacular male Northern Harrier.

Stopped by this morning. There are still half a dozen Ring-necked Ducks in the storm-water pond. Also three Buffleheads and two Caspian Terns. There were two small sandpipers I could not identify. They looked like Least Sandpipers as they were very small, but I think it's early for them.
