A Northern Harrier patrolling the construction site at Dixie and Countryside Roads in Brampton. This afternoon, April 4, 2015.

Very nice; went there this evening around 6 after reading your report. No luck with the harrier - I looked mostly around the pond. Saw quite a few hooded mergansers there. The place is still under construction.

That harrier could be anywhere between there and Old School Road. While not common, harriers are regular in the area. Those photos I took were from inside my car. When I got out of the car I saw and photographed the Ring-necked Ducks and mergansers.
