Title: chipping sparrow?

I'm struggling with an ID on this sparrow. Guessing chipping...seen today at Ashbridges Bay.

It's a White-crowned. Not normally seen this time of year but this one overwintered at this spot. You can see that it's starting to molt into its adult plumage on the head (the black spots)
