Title: Banded Blue Jay
Post by: richoff on April 24, 2015, 09:45:54 AM
New Member here.
I was looking at some recent photo's, and found a Blue Jay with a band on its leg... (un readable)
Was wondering what the significance of that may be?
Would any one (the bander) be interested in knowing of the sighting, and how to contact?
Cheers.

There is a central reporting place for bands - can't think of it right now, but does not matter, as you would need to be able to report the numeric code on this band for the report to be useful.  Other banding schemes using multiple coloured bands in different patterns can be helpful with no additional info, but that is not the case here.

Thanks Pat, I'm biding my time with patience, to see if I can spot this Jay again... maybe get a better photo of the tag.
