This will get you started:

1. Opinicon Road North of Kington

2. Lemoine Point in Kingston

3. Marshlands off King Street, large tall apartment building across the street.

4. Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area just North of Kingston off Division as you go down the hill on other side of 401 ( this area has a small daily fee of $5.50)

5. Of course Amherst Island but the ferry service is pretty busy right now with the maint until sometime in June.

6. An excellent spot over the next few weeks for warbler migration but not in Kingston is Prince Edward Point. See link.

7. Just west of Kingston is Parrott’s Bay Conservation Area

http://crca.ca/conservation-lands/conservation-areas/parrotts-bay-conservation-area/

8. Outside the area of Kingston is Presqu'ile Provincial Park about a hour or so drive west down the 401.

Not sure if you are a member of the Kingston Field Naturalists if not see link.

You may already use this resource for Ontario bird sightings: http://birding.aba.org/maillist/ON

Finally another awesome source for birding is eBird, use Frontenac, Ontario, Canada (CA) in the search button under Rare Bird Alerts for many sightings and locations in our area many with map locations also.

Great shot. I spent more than a few hours trying to get a shot of one of these guys last spring (unsuccessfully).
I'll have to try again this year...
