Our first raptor seen was this little Kestrel.

Then the Saw-whet Owl, he was back lit though, darn! We saw two today but this photo is from the first bird,

Hi Rob,
The Barred Shot is great. I don't know if you remember my posts, but my son and I have had rotten luck trying to find owls on the spit. Where on the spit did you find the Barred and the Saw Whet. I'm guessing they were in the places mentioned in previous posts. We went to the Hamilton area yesterday and saw the Hawk Owl and 5 Short Eared Owls. That was great. My son was very excited.
