The Toronto Region Conservation Authority is seeking volunteers to monitor the nesting pair of Piping Plovers at Halan's Point on Toronto Island. They need people to deter beach-goers from entering the nesting area. They especially need people for this weekend Friday June 12 through Sunday June 14 because there is a music festival on the Island that may attract big crowds.
